STEAM @ Home Kits: Make an Automata!
We provide the materials and directions - you pick them up and make them at home!
In this activity, you will make an automaton — a machine that seems to be alive! Automata Kits will be ready to pick up at a open branches by 1:00pm Wednesday July 13th at 1:00pm. Kits are first come, first serve. One kit per child.
These kits are suggested for children over age 6. This kit contains small pieces and may not suitable for young children without adult supervision. Adult assistance may be required.
Required Materials:
Provided in Kit:
- A rigid container
- Foam to make circles
- 2 skewers
- Straw
- Cardstock
Needed from Home:
- Scissors
- Tape or glue
- Markers and additional materials to decorate your automaton
