Our Community Reads - La Selva Beach Film Night ~ Trumbo

Our Community Reads - La Selva Beach Film Night ~ Trumbo

Bryan Cranston stars as blacklisted screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, one of the Hollywood Ten. His screenplay for "Roman Holiday" won an Oscar, but he received neither screen credit nor the statuette. It wasn't until Kirk Douglas insisted that Trumbo receive credit for "Spartacus" that his career was restored, an event that marked the beginning of the end of the blacklist.
