September is National Preparedness Month.  Here is your opportunity to learn what you can do to work together with your neighbors to take action and improve fire defensible space, improve safety for your home and neighborhood, and how to adapt to living with wildland fire risks, especially in rural areas.   This event will present information about how to get started, what your neighborhood would need to do going forward, and what possible insurance benefits you might gain.

The FireWise Community certification program is associated with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and is recognized by some insurance carriers as beneficial to reducing overall wildland fire property risk.

Free and open to all.  Rural property residents are especially encouraged to participate.
