Santa Cruz Black 2025 Film Series
Santa Cruz Black's 2nd annual BLACK on Screen Film Series premiered on Juneteenth week.
We'll be screening Since I Been Down. In America's backyard, a community held captive by policies targeting gangs and drugs, sacrifices their youth for a false sense of justice, and safety. Forty years later, a true path to justice and healing is led from inside prison walls.
We hope to see you at one of our two screenings: Tuesday, August 19th at the Capitola Library, and Thursday, August 21st at the Resource Center for Nonviolence. Register for the screening on the 19th at the RCNV HERE. We will offer light refreshments and drink before the film and a Discussion post screening. Doors open at 6 pm, Movie starts at 6:30 pm.
Our BLACK on Screen Film Series 2025 will resume it's usual format in July with film screenings in the 3rd week of each month at 6:30 PM Tuesdays at Capitola Library and Wednesdays at the Resource Center for Nonviolence. Stay tuned for the entire schedule in the coming days.
