Sumi-e Japanese Ink Painting Class: Bamboo with Ensō and Dragonfly
Sumi-e (Japanese Ink Painting) is a revered art form that uses Sumi- (black ink) and its values (ink with water). This class will introduce you to the basics of this art style with a focus on bamboo, the zen circle (ensō) and the dragonfly.
Carolyn Fitz has been teaching art through Cabrillo College for 20+ years and was an Artist in Residence at Yosemite National Park from 2000-2016.
Adults only. Art supplies will be provided. Registration required. Those on the waitlist are welcome to stay and observe.
