Jewish Yemeni Music - Dror Sinai and son Avi Sinai

Jewish Yemeni Music - Dror Sinai and son Avi Sinai

“Rhythm is all around us, in everything we see, we touch, we breathe… With rhythm, we shall achieve better communication and understanding among ourselves and all people: all people as one.” ~ Dror Sinai

In Jewish tradition, music is associated with joyous occasions and celebrations. Following this tradition, Dror and his son Avi and will chant and sing, both ancient and new melodies, without melodic instruments, just as the Yemenite Jews did in ancient times, accompanied by a "Tanake" (a tin can used for oil or food storage), a tray, and hand drums.

Dror Sinai

Dror Sinai is a visionary blending music, healing, and personal growth, inspiring people worldwide through his work in percussion, world peace, Chi Gong, and personal development. A pioneer in his fields, Dror has performed with renowned musicians, lectured globally, and received prestigious accolades like the Gail Rich Award. He founded "Rhythm Fusion," created the "World Percussion Committee," and leads "Mugical-Morocco Tours." As a healer, he combines sound, rhythm, and energy to help people find balance, offering personalized healing programs. Dror’s passion for music and his positive energy continue to inspire and uplift others.

Avi Sinai

Avraham David Sinai, a percussionist, vocalist, and visual artist from Santa Cruz, California, combines traditional Arabic Yemeni Jewish chants with a contemporary flair. Learning these songs from his father Dror from the age of four, Avi creates a unique fusion of ancient and modern melodies, embodying the spirit of Yemen.
