Printing Botanicals workshop

Printing Botanicals workshop

Learn methods for printing botanicals with local artist Ruth Dailey!

Learners will learn how to use a 5x7" Gelli plate to print monoprints of botanicals (leaves, flowers, grasses) on paper and fabrics. With paints, brushes, and a brayer you will learn techniques like layering, masking, etc. Samples will show ways to use these gel prints in collage, card making, and bookmaking. Two demos for other methods of printing botanicals will be offered as time allows: ink stamping and "tataki-zome" flower pounding.

Printing supplies will be provided - participants should bring their own fresh botanicals and any special paper or fabrics desired for final prints.

Space is limited. Registration is required.
