International Holocaust Remembrance Day: A Survivor's Story

International Holocaust Remembrance Day: A Survivor's Story

The location for this event has been changed in order to accommodate the incredible interest in attending. The New location is Temple Beth El, 3055 Porter Gulch Rd, Aptos, CA 95003.

Gitta Ryle is a Holocaust survivor. For many years now, she has been presenting her story and her journey to forgiveness and mental well-being at schools, houses of worship, juvenile centers, and other organizations, turning trauma into teaching. Join us to hear her story as we approach this special day of remembrance.

The United Nations General Assembly designated January 27—the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau—as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

On the annual day of commemoration which takes place on January 27th, the UN urges every member state to honor the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and millions of other victims of Nazism and to develop educational programs to help prevent future genocides.

This program is in partnership with Temple Beth El, Aptos.
