The Artists

Cellist Yosef Feinberg is honored to be performing in his hometown of Santa Cruz; the current stop on his musical path as a Master’s student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he hopes to explore his interests in composing, arranging, and collaborating. He especially enjoys searching the lesser- known corners of musical literature. Besides playing in the Santa Cruz Symphony, Yosef has performed with other well-known ensembles across California. His renewed passion is reading, especially science fiction and fantasy.

Ivan Rosenblum, pianist/composer/teacher has a B.A. from Queens College and an M.A. and Ed.D from Harvard University. He taught Arts Education and Music at UCSC in the 1970’s and studied piano and chamber music with Robert Hagopian and Menachem Pressler. Ivan is well known to Santa Cruz audiences through his appearances with The Santa Cruz Chamber Players, Cabrillo’s Distinguished Artist Series and New Musik Works. He teaches piano and coaches chamber-music here in Santa Cruz, where he organized and directed the Chamber Players’ Celebrating Youth Chamber Music Program for several years.
