Basic Anatomy and Physiology of Female-Spectrum Bodies (Ages 12-17)

Basic Anatomy and Physiology of Female-Spectrum Bodies (Ages 12-17)

We invite you to join us for this comprehensive and inclusive workshop series led by Dr. Megan McNamara, instructor in the Sociology Department and an affiliate with the Center for Innovations in Teaching and Learning and UCSC's Institute for Social Transformation. Don't miss this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the sexual and reproductive body in a supportive and educational environment.

In Session 1, we will focus on the basic anatomy and physiology of the female body. While the male body is relatively straightforward, the female body is incredibly complex, and this session aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of its structures and functions. Led by Dr. Megan McNamara, this session covers the anatomy and physiology of female-spectrum bodies for 12 to17-year olds. This is a queer and trans-inclusive interactive lecture focusing on pleasure, body sovereignty, and sexual/reproductive health. Although we'll be talking primarily about female-spectrum bodies this time, young people with ALL bodies and gender identities are welcome. Participants will have the opportunity to learn, ask questions, and gain valuable knowledge about their bodies.
