Anti-Racism Book Circle

Anti-Racism Book Circle

In partnership with The Resource Center for Nonviolence, volunteer-facilitated book circles offer participants a courageous space to help one another engage in collaborative, antiracist, learning by cultivating inclusivity, curiosity, and mutual respect.

The Book Circles will be reading How to Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi. The Capitola Branch Book Circle will discuss the book over a series of 6 meetings on Tuesday evenings from 6:30- 8pm: June 6, 13, 20, 27 and July 11 and 18.

Advance registration for the series is required. To ensure group continuity and quality discussion, each book circle will be limited to 15 participants. The book circles are designed for participants to register and attend all six sessions of the series.

* Please note: There will be loaner copies from the library for participants to use for the duration of the series. Registrants may pick them up at the Capitola Branch Service Desk*
