Story Time with Angela Dalton
Come join us for a special story time with Oakland-based children's author Angela Dalton! Angela has written a number of wonderful books included in our library's collection including "Ruby's Reunion Day Dinner" and "Show the World!". In honor of Women's History Month, Angela will read her newest book: "To Boldly Go: How Nichelle Nichols and Star Trek Helped Advance Civil Rights". This book tells the story of how actress Nichelle Nichols, through her famous role on "Star Trek" helped pave the way for people of color and women to rise in in enterianment business and in NASA. Angela will have a brief Q & A afterwards.
