Introduction to the Family History Guide takes you through the learning system, activities, and research tools available at The Family History Guide, a free website dedicated to making your family history research easier, more efficient, and more enjoyable. Bob Taylor has been actively doing family history for over 25 years. He has combined his passion for genealogy with his background in instructional design to produce The Family History Guide website, a leading learning resource for family history.


Bob earned a BA degree from Brigham Young University, and an MS degree
from California State University, Los Angeles, both in music education. He has worked in technical writing and instructional design for Intel and Western Digital, as well as teaching management courses in several western states. He is active in numerous genealogical groups, and has presented programs to many genealogy societies, as well as being a presenter at RootsTech.
